Fronius Solar Inverters

fronius-inverters-sydney-logo-enFronius Solar inverters has been a long term partner of Greenforce Energy, and we have installed Fronius inverters across Sydney.

The decades old company has been supplying solar inverters around the world since the dawn of the modern PV industry.

Fronius also makes Welders and Battery chargers, two product categories that heavily rely on technology found in a typical solar inverter.  The diversified business of the Fronius group gives us confidence that the company has enough financial clout to support warranty into the future, whilst at the same time being able to spread some overhead across multiple business streams to lower cost.

Fronius service is delivered out of Melbourne (as a base) with technicians around the country.

The most popular and reliable units from the Fronius stable have been the Galvo and Symo units.  The Galvo unit is for sizes between 1.5kW and 3kW, and is great for small residential systems.  Symo unit offer excellent value in the three phase and large system space.

Two phase inverters are also availble for Sydney suburbs (eg Sutherland) that may have two phase power.

Sydney solar systems can benefit from a Fronius Galvo or Symo inverter because:

  • The standard versions have wireless monitoring functions built in, allowing for easy confirmation of system performance and possibly avoiding unnecessary service calls in the future
  • Systems have many field serviceable parts, so if a rare fault does develop, it is likely this can be serviced in the field without sending back to a central service centre (smart design to keep you up and running)
  • Inverter base is interchangeable with future battery hybrid models that may become popular as batteries get cheaper.
  • Many units have a relay connection that can turn on ‘smart’ appliances when there is a lot of solar power available.

Fronius are committed to thorough testing of their inverters prior to sale.

All types of modern Fronius Galvo and Symo are IP54 or better, with IP 65 common. This means the inverters are well protected against water ingress during storms, and of course insects are kept out as well.

The rear of the inverter is a well designed, over-engineered heatsink, to ensure the sealed unit can still get rid of heat that may develop inside the unit.

Greenforce Energy technicians are trained to select a location out of direct sunlight, to further reduce the possibility for overheating. Inverters love cool shady spots.
